Digiscoping opportunities……

Justin Carr

With little bird-wise worth travelling any great distance for a few Monday’s ago, I decided to take a short trip to Scarborough to look for birding and digiscoping opportunities. Here are some of the results.

This Turnstone was caught in good light as it bathed in a harbour wall puddle.

Another of the same….

And after its wash and brush-up……

All the above were taken with a Panasonic GH3, with a 20mm pancake lens and a Swarovski 80 with 30x wide angle eyepiece.

And though photographed, rather than digiscoped, this second winter Mediterranean Gull was performing well in the Holbeck  area of the town.

The Med Gulls were taken with the same camera and Panasonic Lumix G 100-300mm lens

Not too bad for a quiet winter’s day!

Good digiscoping,

Justin
