Can’t decide whether I can see a pale spot at the base of the upper mandible or not. Even so, cutting edges pale, looks a bit dusky behind ear coverts, can’t see much of a secondary panel, and quite a few shiny highlights in the cap. My Chocolate Buttons are on Marsh
Marsh tit based on the Dewolf bill criterion
pale cutting edges to mandibles and apparent two toned cheek say Marsh, jizz seems a bit more Willow but maybe thats just the posture!
Marsh tit – I think that is a pale spot at the base of the upper mandible and hint of glossy cap.
Marsh tit: – base of the upper bill is somewhat obscured but you can make out the contrast between the white cheek and slightly darker neck
I’m a relative beginner, but would have gone for marsh tit based on the ‘comma’ on the cheek (see http://www.eyrg.co.uk/the%20dark%20comma.htm).
